Sep 24 – The annual Reception and Dinner honoring families of service members wounded in the Global War on Terrorism wase held at the National Museum of the US Army with Guest Speaker USAF Gen. (Ret) John P. Jumper, the 17th USAF Chief of Staff.

Sep 12 – The 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund was held at the Brandermill Country Club.  Download program here.

2021

Oct 30 – The 11th Annual 1st Lt. Jason D. Mann Memorial Hunt hosting wounded service members, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held at the Rose Hill Game Preserve in historic Culpeper County, VA.  Photo by Bill Shugarts.

Oct 27 – The net proceeds from the 12th Annual Fawn Lake Triathlon, in which wounded service members participated, were donated to the Families of the Wounded Fund. This is the seventh year in a row the proceeds from the Annual Fawn Lake Triathlon Fredericksburg were donated to the FOTWF. Greater Fredericksburg Regional FOTWF Director and Vice President, Gary Spruill, accepted the donation in the amount of $8,000. Photo by Margene Sims.

Oct 24 – The 10th Annual 1st Lt. Jason D. Mann Memorial Hunt hosting wounded service members, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held at the Rose Hill Game Preserve in historic Culpeper County, VA. Photos by Bill Shugarts.

Jan 15 – The First Annual Fawn Lake Veterans Group Charity Golf Tournament proceeds were donated to the FOTWF. Fawn Lake Veterans Group Director and Fredericksburg FOTWF Director, Bill Shugarts, presented a check in the amount $10,000 to Fredericksburg FOTWF Director, Gary Spruill. Photo by Margene Sims.

Sep 09 –  The 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund was held at the Brandermill Country Club.

Jun 15 – The annual reception honoring families of service members wounded in the Global War on Terrorism was held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps with Guest Speaker Jan C. Scruggs, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund founder.  Slide show 1. Slide show 2.

Mar 18 – Sara Potecha, author of West Point Woman: How Character is Created and Leadership is Learned, presented a check for $1,000.00 to Families of the Wounded Fund Directors, Bill Haneke and Katie Hundley, in conjunction with several presentations to Dominion Energy personnel as part of their Employee Resource Group (ERG) recognition of Virginia Women in Military Service and Women’s History Month. 2018

Nov 01 – A book launch that has already benefited the Families of the Wounded Fund was held at Apex Systems, Glen Allen, Virginia.  Sara Potecha, the author of West Point Woman: How Character is Created and Leadership is Learned, donated $500.00 to the Families of the Wounded Fund as a result of the book launch.  About Sara and her book.

Oct 27 – The 8th Annual 1st Lt. Jason D. Mann Memorial Hunt hosting wounded service members, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held at the Rose Hill Game Preserve in historic Culpeper County, VA.  Photos by Milton McNatt.  In memoriam: USMC Col (Ret) William (Bill) M. Scaife.

Oct 06 – During their 10th Anniversary Celebration, the Nam Knights Motor Cycle Club Grey Ghost Chapter presented a check to the GFR FOTWF Directors,  John Allison and Bill Shugarts, for $3,000.00. Aug 26 – The 10th Annual Fawn Lake Triathlon in which wounded service members participated, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held in Spotsylvania, VA .  For the fifth year, the net proceeds were donated to the Families of the Wounded Fund.  Info

Oct 29 – The 7th Annual 1st Lt. Jason D. Mann Memorial Hunt hosting wounded service members, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held at the Rose Hill Game Preserve in historic Culpeper County, VA.

Sep 30 – The annual reception honoring families of service members wounded in the Global War on Terrorism was held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps with Guest Speaker General Barry R. McCaffery, USA (Ret.).

Aug 27 – The 9th Annual Fawn Lake Triathlon in which wounded service members participated, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held in Spotsylvania, VA .  The donation from the 2017 Triathlon was $5,000.  Info

Nov 5 – The 6th Annual 1st Lt Jason D. Mann Memorial Hunt hosting wounded service members, and benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund, was held at the Rose Hill Game Preserve near Culpepper, VA benefiting The Families of the Wounded Fund.  Article
